The “You’ve Been Booed Halloween Tradition”

You’ve been booed is a fun neighborhood tradition that is perfect for getting everyone into the Halloween spirit! It’s simple, easy, and best of all- it’s free! Here’s how it works:

Each household participating secretly leaves a small gift on the doorstep of another household. The gift usually consists of Halloween candy or cookies and a “You’ve been booed!” sign or printable (which you can find for free in this post!)

The idea is to not get caught “booing” someone, so it’s best to do it late at night or when you know the homeowners will be out. Once a household has been “booed”, they hang their sign on their front door to let everyone know. Then, that household is responsible for “booing” two other households within the next few days. And the tradition continues until everyone in the neighborhood has been “booed”!

Why it’s fun!
