Fun 2 Year Old Easter Basket Ideas

Sharing is caring!

Easter for toddlers is so exciting. Each of our kids have loved seeing what the Easter bunny brings. It’s a fun time to have a little 2-year-old seeing things with wonder. As a parent, finding the best 2 year old Easter basket ideas can also feel tricky. Toddlers are too young for some things, but old enough to get excited and want the fun. We’ve tried our best to gather fun Easter basket ideas for the youngest of kids. Here we go!

Understanding The Toddler Mindset

Toddlers are little explorers who navigate the world with curiosity. Their interaction with Easter gifts isn’t just about new toys but is about satisfying the urge to touch, taste, and discover. With sensory play being a pillar of child development at this age, choosing sensory items is always a safe bet. Also it’s helpful if you pick size-appropriate items. So chunky chalk or crayons will be better for little hands than smaller items. Everything your 2-year-old grasps, every button they push, and every page they turn, helps them learn.

Non-Candy easter Basket Stuffers

Kids get so much candy at Easter! Even if you put a focus on non-candy items, you’ll still likely have a day filled with sugar! Skip the sugar rush with Easter basket stuffers that will fill a need, or help your child explore something new.

These thoughtful basket stuffers promise more than sugar highs; they offer engaging experiences and memories that endure well beyond the egg hunts of Easter morning.

I have found that clothing makes a great Easter basket filler for kids of any age! You are buying things your kids already need, and presenting it to them in a fun way. If I know that all my kids need swimsuits, putting them into an Easter basket makes it fun and I needed to buy them anyway, so it’s not a huge hit to my budget!
